There is an error in the article “Management of chronic kidney disease mineral-bone disorder” (Fadem SZ, Moe SM, Advances in Chronic Kidney Disease 14:44-53), page 45. The error appears in the first sentence under the “Phosphorus Control in CKD” heading. The sentence “Hyperphosphatemia plays a role in the pathogenesis of secondary hyperparathyroidism directly by suppressing PTH secretion and indirectly by inhibiting the activation of calcitriol (Fig 1)” should read “Hyperphosphatemia plays a role in the pathogenesis of secondary hyperparathyroidism directly by stimulating PTH secretion and indirectly by inhibiting the activation of calcitriol (Fig 1).”
